Dalla padella alla brace

Posted at 10:49 pm under niente a senso

hal9k1:/home/backup# cat /etc/default/autofs
# Timeout value in seconds (default: 300)
TIMEOUT=3

questo e’ /etc/auto.master:

/mnt /etc/auto.misc -v --timeout=3
#/smb /etc/auto.smb
#/misc /etc/auto.misc
#/net /etc/auto.net

questo e’ /etc/auto.misc:

cd -fstype=iso9660,ro,user :/dev/hdc
dvd -fstype=iso9660,ro,user :/dev/hdb
floppy -fstype=vfat,rw,user,sync :/dev/fd0
usbcamera -fstype=vfat,rw,user :/dev/sda1

Questi i link simbolici:

hal9k1:/home/backup# ls -l /media/
totale 4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 2005-11-01 18:19 cd -> /mnt/cd
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 2005-11-01 18:19 dvd -> /mnt/dvd
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2005-11-01 18:19 floppy -> /mnt/floppy
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 2005-11-01 18:19 usbcamera -> /mnt/usbcamer

faccio ls /media/dvd e monta.

MA PORCODDIO L’EXPIRE NON VA, DOPO 3 SECONDI NON FA UN CAZZO, DEVO ASPETTARE CIRCA 20 SECONDI PORCODDIO.
MA PERCHE’!??!?!
PERCHE’ SONO ANCORA A SCLERARE DOPO ORE!?!??!?!

IO PENSO CHE E’ COLPA DI DEBIAN!

update

Pare che il floppy si comporti correttamente:

Nov 1 21:55:15 hal9k1 automount[2445]: attempting to mount entry /mnt/floppy
Nov 1 21:55:18 hal9k1 ntpd[4076]: adjusting local clock by -120.284147s
Nov 1 21:55:20 hal9k1 automount[3309]: rm_unwanted: /mnt/floppy
Nov 1 21:55:20 hal9k1 automount[3309]: expired /mnt/floppy

[root@www root]# ls -l /home/ | grep mail

chmod 775 /home/mail

E magicamente vm-pop3d funziona… POI DOPO CIRCA UN ORA. NIENTE.
COSI’ RIGUARDO I PERMESSI, E SONO DI NUOVO COME PRIMA.
AH! SARA’ CRONTAB!

Solaris x86 ha rotto…

Posted at 12:26 pm under niente a senso

ok…:

# prtconf -pv | more

AH! ora e’ tutto piu’ chiaro eh! certo!
C’e’ il nodo 0×1a7bf8 che e’ model: ‘PCI: 1849,900 – class: Ethernet controller’. GRAZIE AMICO SOLARIS!

cerco pci1849,900… NIENTE.

cosi’ faccio man prtconf… faccio un:

bash-2.05# prtconf -D | grep pci1849,900
pci1849,900

mentre per altre cosa vedo ad es.:

bash-2.05# prtconf -D | grep pci1849,7002
pci1849,7002, instance #0 (driver name: usba10_ehci)

http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/

FREE NIC DRIVER FOR SOLARIS

Leggo tra le righe:

I started some following works with porting Linux nic drivers into Solaris. But I have re-written all of them not to use Linux driver codes, as I was pointed out that it was violation of GPL to link GPL drivers into properiety kernel.

http://www.iforceready.it/sunfreeware/indexintel9.html

E TROVO IL SITO SANTO! SANTO SUBITO!

# /usr/ccs/bin/make install
# ./adddrv.sh
# modload obj/sfe
# devfsadm -i sfe
# ifconfig sfe0 plumb
# ifconfig sfe0 192.168.0.233 up
# ping 192.168.0.2
# vi /etc/hostname.sfe0
# init 6

FUNZIONA!!!

SONO DISTRUTTO NON NE POSSO PIU’… E MO MI ASPETTA JBOSS E COMPANY…

MORTE!

La sicurezza Micro$oft!

Posted at 9:44 am under niente a senso

Posted at 11:54 am under niente a senso

POI MI ACCORGO CHE AVEVO MESSO I JUMPER DEL DISCO MALE. FISSANDO LA DIMENSIONE A 32GB. CORREGGO.
REBOOTTO.
ORA IL BIOS VEDE 80 GB. BENE!
vado avanti: stesso problema!
CONTROLLO SUL SITO SUN E LEGGO:

forum sun frequentato da poveri cristi:

The error message …

Error for command ‘read sector’ Error Level: Retryable
Sense Key: bad block detected
Vendor ‘Gen-ATA ‘ error code: 0×8

… is really a bug in the Solaris ata driver: it prints obsolete error messages
for modern IDE disks. The correct message for a modern IDE disk is:
“interface CRC error has occurred during an Ultra DMA data transfer”.

So, I guess there’s a hardware issue with the use of UDMA on your
system. Make sure to use short 80-pin IDE cables for UDMA.

Maybe chaning the (U)DMA mode, changing it to/from automatic mode,
or disabling DMA in the system’s BIOS helps.

You can also try to disable DMA disk transfers in Solaris 9 x86, by setting
the “ata-dma-enabled” property to a value of “0″. This can be changed
in a sub-menu on the last DCA screen, the “boot device” menu.

CIOE’ DEVO DISATTIVARE IL DMA!!??!?! MA SONO PAZZI!?!?!

Cmq leggendo su altri forum:

The “bad block detected” message appears to be an old/obsolete error
message text, somewhere in the Solaris “ata” driver.

The ATA-1 standard (1997?) defined the 0×80 bit in the IDE
controller’s error register as “bad block detected”. (See page 32 on
)

The 0×80 bit seems to be “reserved” (undefined, not used any more)
with ATA-2 and ATA-3.

ATA-4 and newer now defines this bit 0×80 as ICRC “interface CRC error
has occurred during an Ultra DMA data transfer” when using ultra dma
transfers. (see the description of the “READ DMA” or “WRITE DMA”
command in ).

The Solaris ata driver seems to interpret the 0×80 bit according to
the old / obsolete 1997 ATA-1 standard.

So the “bad block detected” message seems to be a hint that some sort
of data corruption is happening on the IDE interface during UDMA data
transfers with the HDD. With UDMA capable disks it apparently does
*not* mean “the disk drive is dying”.

Solaris’ ata driver should print a more appropriate error
message for ATA-4 or newer disks, similar to what NetBSD does
in wdperror():

MA CHE MERDA!!!!!!!!!! CHE MEVDA PUVISSIMA POVCODDIO!!!!!!

PS: E pensare che un mio collega mi diceva: RTFM, MA VAFFANCULO ANCHE A LUI. I FORUM SONO MEGLIO DEI MANUALI AHAHHA
